Find your Fit with the Noxgear Tracer2

Getting the right fit is essential for comfort, stability and visibility. The Tracer2 is designed to sit securely on your upper body without bouncing or restricting movement, whether you're running, walking or cycling.

The good news is that the Noxgear Tracer2 is highly adjustable. Once you've chosen the correct size, the chest strap, shoulder loops and Fit Clip system allow you to fine-tune the fit to suit your body shape and the clothing you're wearing.

Noxgear Tracer2 Sizing Guide

Measure around your chest just below your pectoral muscles (under your chest), as shown in the image above. Use this measurement rather than your jacket or shirt size for the most accurate fit.

Tracer2 Size Chest Measurement Typical Men's T-Shirt Typical Women's T-Shirt
S 63–91cm XS–S XS–M
M / L 68–101cm M–L L
XL 73–112cm XL–XXL XL–XXL

Don't worry about winter layers. The Tracer2's fluorescent chest strap is adjustable and elastic, allowing it to fit comfortably over jackets, raincoats and even smaller hydration packs.

How to Fit Your Tracer2

Once you've selected the correct size, take a minute to adjust the vest properly before your first outing. A correctly fitted Tracer2 should feel secure, comfortable and almost unnoticeable while you're moving.

1. Position the chest strap

Place the fluorescent chest strap just below your chest, not across the middle of your chest or stomach. This helps keep the shoulder straps comfortably positioned while allowing natural arm movement.

2. Tighten the chest strap

Pull the elastic chest strap until the vest sits snugly against your body.

The vest should stay in place while running, but it shouldn't feel restrictive or make breathing uncomfortable.

3. Adjust the shoulder loops

The fibre optic shoulder loops should sit comfortably over the top of each shoulder.

If they feel loose or begin slipping off your shoulders, use the adjustment points to shorten the loops until they sit naturally against your body.

4. Secure the fibre optics

The Tracer2 includes Noxgear's Fit Clip system to help manage the fibre optic light tubes and reduce movement while you're active.

Make sure the shoulder loops are clipped and sitting neatly against your body before heading out. This helps minimise bouncing and keeps the vest comfortable over longer runs.

How Should the Tracer2 Fit?

When adjusted correctly:

  • The back light unit should sit centred between your shoulder blades.

  • The chest strap should sit just below your chest and remain comfortably snug.

  • The shoulder loops should rest naturally on your shoulders without slipping.

  • The vest should stay stable while walking or running, with very little movement or bounce.

  • You should still be able to breathe comfortably and move your arms freely.

If the vest feels loose, slides around while running or the shoulder loops continually fall off your shoulders, spend a few minutes readjusting the chest strap and shoulder loops before deciding you need a different size.

Wearing the Tracer2 Over Clothing

One of the advantages of the Tracer2 is its flexibility throughout the seasons.

In summer it can be worn over a lightweight running shirt, while in winter the adjustable elastic chest strap comfortably fits over thicker jackets, waterproof shells and smaller hydration vests without compromising visibility.

Still Unsure Which Size to Choose?

If your measurement falls between two sizes, consider how you'll use your Tracer2 most often.

  • Mainly running in lightweight clothing? Choose the smaller size for the most secure fit.

  • Often wearing winter jackets or extra layers? The larger size will provide a little more adjustment while remaining comfortable.

If you're still unsure, feel free to get in touch with the MoveNation team. We'd be happy to help you choose the right size before you order.
